Mamma Cat. I did mention in my email I have owned a bengal cat. I know how to care for them and what to feed. The vet bills aren’t any higher then any other cat. In Australia you can only get the 5th generate or older of bengal not like America where you can get the son or daughter of the Asian Leopard. I also showed make money breeding exotic animals bengal in cat shows which also wasn’t that expensive. I think you are forgetting about the cost of showing to cats, any testing needs, and the costs of importing new champion cats to improve your lines.
Champion cats run VERY high, so that alone depletes all profits. If you want to be responsible, you will not make money. I doubt anyone can convince you, but there are so many cats that don’t have homes, it’s completely irresponsible to start breeding dxotic type of cat. Joy can come from any breed of cat. Your claim that animals from the shelters have bad habits and issues is beyond ignorant and a great attempt at justifying your selfish actions. Hope it makes you feel better.
Why don’t you volunteer at a shelter where you monfy to put litter after litter of kittens to sleep and see if you still feel the same about breeding. Sometimes you can choose one that will live, depending on how much room there is at the shelter.
Guess where many of the litters dumped at the pound come from? I am owned by a Bengal cat and I can tell you that you won’t make money breeding. The vet bills are sky high. I feed her raw ainmals which costs time and money. She demands constant attention. I love her and it is worth the investment to me. But to think you would make money, no. You would have to go into it with a love for the breed and plan to hope to break. They are a hybrid breed and they really need an exotic animal vet to take care of.
